With over 25 years of experience in the Food Industry, Cor has worked for Fortune 100 companies to Internet start-ups. He has managed all facets of Supply Chain in various formats and levels of technology, from bricks and mortar to e-commerce. Throughout his career, Cor has experienced acquisitions, being acquired, total ownership of assets and use of third party logistics companies. He has also been a supplier, a customer, involved in selling direct to consumers as well as business-to-business.
After graduation from the U.S. Naval Academy in 1977, Cor earned his Naval Flight Officer wings and became a Bombardier/Navigator in VA-65, flying A-6 Intruders off the USS Dwight D. Eisenhower. At the conclusion of his military service, he spent ten years working for Procter and Gamble in Manufacturing, Sales and Distribution. In 1995 Cor joined Unified Western Grocer’s, a $4 Billion Grocery Wholesaler as the Vice President of Distribution. He spent the last five years as the Vice President of Supply Chain for Authentic Specialty Foods, Inc. (ASF) located in Chino, CA. Prior to joining ASF, Cor was the CEO of Sun Valley Fruit Company, a food service and produce distributor in Albuquerque, NM. Before that he worked in Detroit, MI as a Division President for Corporate Express, a Buhrmann Company. In 1999 Cor joined the Internet start-up business HomeGrocer.com as the Senior Vice President of Supply Chain for the web-based, direct-to-the-consumer grocery company.
