He was the founder of Creative Energy Control LLC, which specialized in lighting control and lighting. He held GM and senior leadership positions at Square D (Schneider Electric) and Eaton.

Andy earned the Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering at the U.S. Naval Academy in Annapolis, an MBA at Marymount University, and a Masters in Electrical Engineering at George Mason University. He is a licensed Professional Engineer, BSA Scoutmaster, and active with the youth program at his church.
