Bio

Jason joined the Academy Leadership team in 2024 following a successful career in leadership roles in several Fortune 100 companies. Simultaneously serving as a Captain in the U.S. Navy, his corporate and military leadership experiences led him to pursue his passion for Leadership Development.

He earned a bachelor’s degree from Saint Louis University and was commissioned as a Naval Officer through the U.S. Navy’s Officer Candidate School in 2001. He then served on active duty for nearly a decade, leading troops in operations before deciding to transition into the Navy Reserve to pursue a career in corporate America.

After earning an MBA from Creighton University, he began his business career in medical sales at Medtronic, working alongside trauma surgeons in the operating room. He continued his career at Johnson & Johnson (J&J), where he led Sales, Marketing, and Education teams to deliver advanced therapeutic solutions throughout the U.S., served on leadership councils, and Co-Chaired J&J’s Veteran Employee Resource Group. At Honeywell, he's led hundreds of operations personnel to execute major business projects throughout the U.S., Canada, and abroad.

As a Naval Officer, he’s led troops in operational units across the globe and continues to serve as a Commanding Officer, serving on promotion boards, chairing qualification boards, and facilitating national recruiting efforts. He has completed six overseas deployments, most recently as the Commander of a major Task Group and as the Operations Officer at one of the Navy’s forward-deployed Fleets.

Jason is a doctoral candidate in Organizational Change and Leadership at the University of Southern California, researching topics related to veteran employment. He is a member of the Atlanta Chapters of the Project Management Institute (PMI) and the Society for Human Resources Management (SHRM).

When he is not developing leaders Jason enjoys spending time with his family, reading, and endurance swimming.
